font-size: medium;">1. Do you choose certain products whether they are on sale or not?
2. If there were generic products that were identical to the products you currently buy would you purchase them instead? Why or why not?
3. Are there certain restaurants that you prefer to eat at than others? What is your reason for going to that particular restaurant?
4. Do you believe products that cost more are better? Why or why not?
5. Are there any brand name products that you are loyal to? Why?
6. How much influence do you think advertisements have on your choices? How much do you think they influence the choices of children?

7. Nutrication is a website that I originally created to help give my students at Cal State LA access to my notes and Power Point lecture slides. Since I was just an adjunct professor, I did not have my own page on the CSULA website.

Eventually the website grew to include not only information for my classes but also information about nutrition that I felt would be interesting for my students. Soon it became more of a nutrition education resource for anyone who was interested!

With the help of social networking sites (Twitter, Facebook and Linked In) I found that I was reaching a wider audience and have since began to expand the site to include information for an international audience.

The purpose of Nutrication is to help educate people about nutrition and offer them resources to allow them to learn more about healthy eating and lifestyle habits. The name "Nutrication" comes from blending the word nutrition and education together. Though I thought I was being clever, nutrication I found out is actually a word! It means "the act or manner of feeding". Since Nutrication's purpose is to 'feed knowledge' to individuals I felt the name is appropriate!

I am going to try to update this blog every month (if my schedule permits!) with information that I hope that you will find interesting! If there is a topic that you would like me to discuss (pertaining to nutrition and/or health), please email me at obigelow@nutrication.net.

I hope that your New Year is healthy and happy!
Sincerely,
Orville Bigelow, M.S., R.D.
